Musaïque
In 2023, four professional singers, long-time colleagues, and dear friends decided to join forces to form this all-female vocal quartet.
Musaïque is made up of Kerry-Anne Kutz, Julie Leblanc, Monique Fauteux and Catherine Léveillé.
About
Singing a cappella in the most beautiful vocal harmonies imaginable!
They called on their great friend Simon Leclerc—conductor, composer, and orchestrator—to write many of their arrangements, as well as other excellent musicians and arrangers such as Vincent Morel and Marie-Claire Saindon, among others.
In April 2024, Musaïque had the great privilege of singing in the New Horizons concert in tribute to the work of Simon Leclerc at the Festival de la Voix, alongside the male quartet Quartom and the vocal group Voces Boreales.
Musaïque will perform again at 2025 Festival de la Voix in collaboration with Salle Pauline-Julien. You'll hear their versions of songs by our great Québec and Canadian songwriters, including Joni Mitchell, Gino Vannelli, Daniel Lavoie, Shania Twain, Gilles Vigneault, and many others.

A sublime artist with one of Québec's most beautiful voices, the singer, backing vocalist, and keyboardist Monique Fauteux has long been part of the “chanson québecoise” scene, introduced to many by the historic group Harmonium, of which she is the female lead vocalist.
She is a regular collaborator with Judi Richards and Sylvie Tremblay, and was featured as a soloist in the show Un zeste de jazz au Zest, later performed at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.
Monique has worked with incredible artists such as Jean-Pierre Ferland, Jim Corcoran, Neil Chotem, Sylvain Lelièvre, Diane Tell, Bob Walsh, and many others.
Throughout her career, she has lent her voice to a multitude of commercials, children's songs, dubbing, and albums.
Monique is also a highly sought-after vocal coach, working with talented directors such as Denise Filiatrault (The Sound of Music, Hairspray, Sister Act) and René-Richard Cyr (Frères de sang, Belles sœurs, Le chant de Sainte-Carmen de La Main), then as a voice and acting coach with Serge Postigo (Le petit Roy) and Denis Bernard (Les Événements).

Julie Leblanc has been singing professionally since 1987.
Big-hearted and an excellent singer, Julie approaches all her engagements with equal passion and conviction.
Pop, jazz, R&B, classical, chanson française—she renders all these styles with ease.
Thanks to her vocal skills, she has attracted the attention of some of the biggest names, accompanying artists such as Ginette Reno, Isabelle Boulay, France D'Amour, Lara Fabian, and Garou on stage, in the studio, and on television. She even made her mark on the international stage as backing vocalist for Céline Dion from 1997 to 2002.
Julie is now pursuing her career on several fronts:
In the studio, for commercials, dubbing, demos, and as a backing vocalist on various albums, as well as singing with the Ensemble vocal jazz Bémol 9 under the direction of Vincent Morel.
Julie has also been teaching popular song for UQAM's music department since 2003.

Since her debut in 1982, she has been a member of Radio-Canada's a cappella choir, the Tudor Vocal Ensemble, the Opéra de Montréal and OSM choirs, and “The Montreal Vocal Jazz Quartet” under the direction of Simon Leclerc. With this quartet, she sang at the Festival de Jazz de Montréal, then in numerous variety shows (galas, telethons, specials) on television and in the studio.
She quickly became one of the city's most sought-after backing singers, accompanying a host of artists including Ginette Reno, Renée Martel, Diane Tell, Patrick Normand, and Lara Fabian. The latter led her to perform on the biggest stages in Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
Catherine has lent her voice to hundreds of commercials and children's songs.
She also loves transforming her voice to play characters in animated films, including Grandma Saule (Pocahontas), Grandma Fâ (Mulan), little Boo (Monsters, Inc), Madeline (Madeline perdu dans Paris), Anastasia, Toopie, and Binou (theme).
Her vast experience and professionalism make her a leading name in vocal performance.
